Let's try TOMOYO Linux on Ubuntu 9.10 Live CD †

We made LiveCD ISO image of TOMOYO Linux based on Ubuntu 9.10 . The feature is the same as Ubuntu 9.10, but it starts in "learning mode" of TOMOYO Linux kernel.

What can I do with this LiveCD? †

• There is an icon named "TOMOYO Linux Policy Editor" on desktop. You can browse domain transition and access permissions which are automatically learned.
• You can change the mode of domain in policy editor.
• You can see policy violation logs.
• All features of TOMOYO Linux 1.7.1 are available.
• Using "install" icon on desktop, you can install ubuntu 9.10 powered by TOMOYO Linux 1.7.1 into your hard drive.

• What is different from normal ubuntu 9.10?
  • The kernel was replaced by TOMOYO kernel and TOMOYO's management tools were added.
• Is this iso image authorized by ubuntu project?
  • No, this iso image is made and distributed by TOMOYO Linux project. Please do not ask ubuntu project about this LiveCD.
• Is TOMOYO Linux kernel in ubuntu apt repository?
  • We are ready for ubuntu Japanese team repository.
• Does this LiveCD effect a change in my Windows?
  • No effects unless you mount your hard drive in read/write mode.
• I want to install this image into my hard drive.

• Why did you make it?
  • To make more people try TOMOYO Linux in easy way.
• Why policy is not saved?
  • Policy is only on memory and is lost by shutting down or rebooting. If you want to save policy you made, please install Ubuntu 9.10 into your hard drive.
• What is different between this LiveCD installation and installation of TOMOYO Linux 1.7.1 from normal ubuntu 9.10?
  • Basically same. You need not to operate installation or initial configuration in LiveCD.
• Is AppArmor enabled?
  • Yes, TOMOYO Linux can coexist with AppArmor.
